My son and I were greeted with a lovely welcome and upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the harbour. Very comfortable and clean with a delicious breakfast. Sad we had to come home. Thank you! We will be back

Thank you so much The Old Ship Aground. for hosting our wedding reception. Lisa-Lee did everything she could to arrange the back room to meet our needs, paying attention to every little detail. We had the carvery and, as well as being delicious, there was loads to eat. Giant Yorkshire puddings yum . All staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a perfect venue for a perfect day! Highly recommend.

Fantastic pub right in the harbour area of Minehead. Visited for lunch. Fish & chips with a side order of onion rings. Nice bit of cod and the onion rings were freshly battered. Good selection of ales. Had Tangle Foot & Firsty Ferret. Staff were extremely welcoming. Dog friendly pub. The Old Ship Aground is well worth a visit and recommended for a place to stop and have lunch and a drink.

Called in here for lunch on a Sunday in late May . It was quiet when we arrived (11:45) but became very busy very quickly. Bit of a que at the bar but we found a table outside and ordered food expecting a bit of a wait but we're very pleasantly surprised to find our food arriving within 15 minutes, piping hot and very tasty deep fried brie, salad and chips. Quality of food and service were excellent considering how busy this place was. Well done to The Old Ship.... will not hesitate to visit again.

The food here looked really good but we only stayed for a drink. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the view

What gem of a place, we stayed here for a few nights over May Bank holiday. My husband has mobility issues & Matt the Manager & staff could not do enough for us. We would definably recommend a stay or just a visit for food which is also excellent.

Stayed overnight at this pub on a Friday and it's a very nice place to look out over Minehead bay. Tucked away on the west side near the lifeboat station, a quieter end off the bay during the peak season I'm guessing, but at the time we visited, it's was all quiet (even the arcades weren't open). The room was nicely decorated and very spacious, and the bathroom was spotless. It was a pity that we didn't fully read the in-room info as it mentioned additional blankets / heaters were available if required. With two sets of wooden, single glazed french doors onto the balcony, and only a smallish radiator in the room (plus being one of the coldest nights of the winter so far) it was a bit chilly when we arrived. This wasn't an issue once in bed and under the covers. In the summer I can see the balcony being a great place to sit out on and you could certainly enjoy the sight over the front of the pub and just watch the world go by. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of food to choose from. We didn't eat in the on the night we stayed as we went out for stroll around the town and chose to eat there. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Always an amazing time whenever I go here, it was fantastic 4 years ago and it was fantastic this weekend!!! The food is always amazing and so much so I am still chasing their duck and wild berry dish that I had 4 years ago and nothing has compared.. I even went up to Mt Olympus in Cyprus during a blizzard and ate overlooking the valleys in the snowstorm with floor to ceiling walls... and it wasn't as good. Great staff who are always happy to help, super dog friendly and the locals are always up for a chat!!
